FAQ
Questions
The kits
Is it really free?
Yes. Every kit on the site is free with a free account, and it stays that way. Custom kits built for your site are the paid option.
Why do I need an account to download?
So we can let you know when a kit is updated or a new one comes out, and so we know which kits are worth building next. It takes about thirty seconds, and you can sign in with your email.
Can I edit the kits or add my logo?
Kits are PDFs so the content stays accurate. If you want your company name, logo, or site-specific details on them, that’s what custom kits are for.
Can I share them with my subs?
Yes. Print them and use them with every crew on your projects. Please don’t post them on another website or resell them.
Are the kits in Spanish?
Every kit has a complete Spanish version: script, toolbox talk, activity, poster, pocket cards, quiz, sign-in sheet, certificate, and follow-up form.
Are these OSHA-approved?
No. OSHA doesn’t approve training materials, and this site isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by OSHA. Kits reference the OSHA construction standards they’re built on and are written to support your safety program, not replace it.
Does the certificate count as training?
No. It records that someone attended the stand-down. It doesn’t certify that anyone is trained or qualified in a task.
The newsletter
What’s in it?
The Monday Stand-Down is one email every Monday morning: a two-minute Safety Moment to read at your huddle, what’s coming on the campaign calendar, and new kits when they’re out. The Safety Moment comes only in the newsletter.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click.
Do you sell my email?
No. Sponsors never get your email or your name. They only see totals, like how many people downloaded a kit.
Onsite Demos, vendors, and partners
Do I have to buy anything from the rep?
No. Reps come because hands-on demos help crews and help their products get known. You’re under no obligation.
How far ahead should I ask?
Three weeks if you can. May is the busiest month because of the national fall stand-down.
How do I get my company in the vendor directory?
Create a free vendor account and fill in your profile. We review every new profile before it goes live, usually within two business days. After that, you can update it any time from your vendor dashboard.
What does a priority listing get me?
Your listing shows first in every directory search that matches you, with your logo and a Featured badge, and priority vendors are featured in The Monday Stand-Down. It’s billed monthly or yearly, and you can cancel any time. See plans.
If I message a vendor, do they get my email?
Not unless you check the box to share it. Messages go through the site, the vendor replies on the site, and we email you a private link to read the reply.
Does a listing mean you recommend the vendor?
No. The directory is a list, not an endorsement. Check any vendor’s products, training, and insurance yourself.
Can my company sponsor a kit or the newsletter?
Yes. Sponsorships are labeled and never change the safety content. See Partners.
Can I give these to my clients under my brand?
Yes. General contractors and subcontractors can put their brand on the kits and a weekly Safety Moment email for their own crews and trade partners, and brokers and associations can do the same for clients and members. See white-label.
